This year’s presidential election made history in several ways and it appeared that news networks were also in a competition to show off the most elaborate technology to explain polls and other election events. It all started with fancy Surface tables and a “Magic Wall”, but if there was one technology that completely stood out form everything else, it was certainly CNN’s holograms. Above Will.i.am, Obama suporter and "We We Can" viral video creator and Jedi Run-da Nesan, frontrunner for Secretary of Galaxy in Obama's cabinet, are "beamed in" to discuss the election with Anderson Cooper.

Geographically Speaking

Angelina Jolie has two more tattoos etched onto her left arm to commemorate the birth of Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline. The tattoos, seen above, are in the form of map coordinates explaining exactly where the twins were born. Don't we all know exactly where babies are born?

In the immortal words of Jean Paul Sartre

Bill Murray met the Longhorns during a visit to Austin. Much is being made of the fact that the 'horns have won thier last two games (and 3 out of 4 this season) with the final score of 52-10. Some see the recurring score and Murray's visit (he starred in the movie "Groundhog Day") ironic. Above Murray surveys the near pristine natrual grass in the Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

Longhorns (52-10, 42-13, 52-10 & 52-10) meet OU (57-2, 52-26, 55-14 & 35-10) on October 11 in the Cotton Bowl.

Only By The Night

Imagine my surprise seeing Drew Barrymore making out with Ed Westwick last night during the song “Sex on Fire” at the Kings of Leon concert, in Manhattan. Yesterday marked the release of the new Kings of Leon album. Barrymore is least remembered for movies; Firestarter, Inside the Goldmine and See You in the Morning.

gere today, gone tomorrow

Baseball has said farewell to an icon of the sport as New York’s Yankee Stadium hosted its final Major League Baseball game. Actor Richard Gere (left) was among those who attended the landmark game, here talking with New York Yankees’ Bobby Abreu (right). I can't believe I had to wait in line behind Richard Gere. Yes, he is showing off his manicure.

upside down you're turnin' me...

Magician and endurance artist, David Blaine, known for living on top of a 90' pole, in boxes (buried underground and in the air), giant fish bowls and blocks of ice (above) announced he will hang upside-down above New York City's Central Park for 60 hours next week.

all the small things

Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker (middle) and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein (left) are in critical condition with extensive burns after a jet crash that killed four people. Wishing a speedy recovery to Travis and Adam. My prayers and sympathy for the those that know and love the four killed in the crash.
